YOUR ROLE

If you are a goal-oriented and energetic individual and have experience in the organization of transport services for school-aged children, then being transportation dispatcher of the COAF (Children of Armenia Fund) SMART Center in Debet village of Lori region is the perfect role for you. Your duties will include:

Transport Organization and Coordination (85%)

  • Compile and update on a daily basis the transportation schedules of the COAF SMART Center’s beneficiary communities and coordinate it with the partner transport organizations.
  • Organize safe and timely transportation of beneficiaries of all programs to COAF SMART Center and back.
  • Monitor the transportation schedule and provide feedback to the partner companies for the sake of improving provided services.
  • Collaborate with partner transportation organizations to arrange transportation for staff or guests as needed.
  • Keep in touch with the program beneficiaries, participants and parents.
  • Compile and present transportation-related and other statistical reports.
  • Support SMART Center instructors and the educational team.

Cooperation with COAF team and staff (15%)

  • Have weekly meetings with the members of the educational operations team and ensure a smooth flow of information.
  • Submit proposals aimed at increasing the efficiency of the transportation system of the COAF SMART Center.
  • Coordinate the transportation between Debet village and SMART Center in terms of employees, school students, child development program and other components.

YOUR TEAM

Taking on the role of COAF SMART Center Dispatcher, you will join the SMART Business and Operations team and work under the direct supervision of the SMART Business and Operations Manager.

  • Armenian: oral and written
  • English and Russian languages
  • Excellent use of G-Suite and especially Google Sheet platforms

YOU HAVE

  • University degree
  • Analytical thinking, ability to calculate and ability to work with data
  • Ability to quickly navigate emergency situations, find effective solutions
  • Ability to work independently under stressful conditions and meet deadlines
  • A clear understanding of the distribution of republican and inter-village roads, the work of road safety bodies
  • Time management skills

Children of Armenia Fund (COAF) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that employs community-led approaches aimed at improving the quality of life in rural Armenia, with a particular focus on children and youth. COAF’s target development areas are education, health, social and economic development. COAF launched its programs in 2004, starting in one village and expanding to 64 villages in Armavir, Aragatsotn, Lori, Gegharkunik, Shirak, and Tavush regions.

Since 2015, COAF has developed and started implementing SMART Initiatives. COAF SMART is designed to advance a generation across the rural world through education that will benefit individuals, societies, and the environment. COAF SMART is an exemplary model of development and will be replicated in other regions and communities throughout Armenia. The first COAF SMART Center was inaugurated on May 27, 2018 near the village of Debet, Lori Region.
