Safety Manager

Job responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with the staff to promote a culture of safety and provide guidance on safety-related matters.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and similar cases to determine root causes and implement preventative measures.
• Maintain accurate records of safety data, including incident reports, inspections, and training documentation.
• Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes related to occupational health and safety.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a safety management role within a manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
