This course is aimed at preparing prospective graduate school applicants on the Quantitative section of GRE, which includes the following basic areas: Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry (no proofs) and Data Analysis. These represent basic mathematical skills and understanding of elementary mathematical concepts, as well as the ability to reason quantitatively and to solve problems in a quantitative setting.
The AUA GRE Preparation Course instructor will:
• Review with enrolled students each question type on the GRE to determine individual strengths and weaknesses, and work on specific strategies and tactics to better prepare students
• Coach enrolled students to acquire skills and strategies for success in this standardized exam.
• Discuss student questions in an interactive format, focusing on identified problem areas, practicing valuable techniques, and correcting common errors before the actual exam.
AUA GRE Preparation Course Materials
Practice on real GREs is essential to a successful score on this exam. Our course combines several instructional methods to give students the most comprehensive training. If you are dissatisfied with your score or continue to be hesitant about taking the GRE, we welcome repeaters of the same course at a 50% discount. Our course materials include:
- GRE: Practicing to Take the General Test, published by the test-makers
- Preparation guide containing exercises, practice questions, and tips
- Additional homework exercises for supplemental practice
Flexible Schedules
Frequent start dates and two levels/lengths are available between February and March 2012 , strategically scheduled for students to meet most admissions deadlines.
• The 36-hour Solid-Track GRE Preparation Course is divided into 12 sessions which meet 2 or 3 evenings per week over 6 or 4 weeks.
Enrollment Fee: AMD 75,000
• The 24-hour Fast-Track GRE Preparation Course is divided into 8 sessions focuses primarily on strategies.
Enrollment Fee: AMD 50,000
• The same course materials are used for both classes.

To register you can either fill in an application form at the Extension Office or e-mail/bring completed one. Tuition - in cash - is paid at AUA Cashier's Office - main building, 5th floor, Room 59.The cashier's Office is open from 10:00 to 16:00, Monday to Friday. The filled in application form together with the payment receipt completes your enrollment.
